Mixing Stripes and Patterns

Before I saw the bottom photo I thought mixing patterns was only for silly uncles. I fell in love with this look and went into my closet to do a remix. I'm planning to wear out tonight for my date with hubby. Will post a finished look photo. What do you think? How far do you go in mixing patterns?
